TAKE A JOURNEY WITH US

Artists’ Reception

Friday, November 4th 2011, from 6-8pm

Near and abroad, there are memories to be made and stories to be told.  Hampstead Art House is pleased to announce its upcoming exhibition Scene Around the World.  The gallery will be filled with extraordinary photographs from national and international travels.  Accompanying each photograph will be a description of the subject, moment or experience of when the picture was taken.

We hope you can join us at the Artists’ Reception for a chance to view these exceptional photographs, meet and mingle with the artists and enjoy complementary wine and light fare.

1216 N Main Street ***

Hampstead, MD 21074

***Editors Note: The official address may be 1216 N Main Street but you need to turn South onto Main street from Mexico Road if you are coming from the Westminster area. Google Maps will take you North and you will wind up in an industrial area instead of down town Hampstead. Don’t ask me how I know this. On the other hand if you enter 1216 S Main Street into Google you will be just fine. The Gallery is across the street from St John’s United Methodist Church.

Black and White conversions

There are many ways a black and white image can be created in software. This one is so simple, elegant and powerful that I wish I’d thought of it. Works in Photoshop and Elements and probably any program with layers.

Folio

Here is a collection of images that tells a marine environmental story even, I think, without the narration.
